Christin lives with her family in a 11th century village, at the foot of a mountain. The people of her village are wary of strange inhabitants living deep inside the towering land that overshadows them. There is a rumor that these mountain dwellers, called Akkadians, possess unnatural powers. What the villagers aren’t aware of is the Akkadians belong to a highly advanced and influential kingdom. This kingdom has a rather startling secret, which Christin of cause has already discovered. A dangerous scheme unfolds and Christin is caught in the middle of an unanticipated battle endangering countless lives, with only a futile chance of escape.
